How it works

Every patient walks the same three steps.

We are not looking to simply mask symptoms. Your care plan starts with a full picture — then targets the mechanisms driving how you actually feel.

Step 01 / 03

01/03

Collect the pieces

Your consultation is all about collecting all the pieces of the puzzle — symptoms, history, labs, lifestyle, patterns the standard visit missed.

Step 02 / 03

02/03

Identify root causes

We combine advanced functional diagnostics with classical Chinese medicine diagnostics to find what is actually driving your symptoms.

Step 03 / 03

03/03

Guide you to healing

A personalized protocol combining nutrition, herbs, acupuncture, supplementation, and lifestyle changes — explained, not prescribed.

The consultation

Collecting the pieces — history, symptoms, labs, patterns.

Collecting all the pieces of the puzzle.

Your first visit runs up to 60 minutes — in-office in Sunrise or by telehealth. We walk your full history: diet, sleep, stress, environment, family history, prior diagnoses, medications, supplements, and any labs you already have.

A Chinese-medicine intake (tongue, pulse, meridian patterns) runs alongside the functional workup (inflammation, micronutrients, hormones, thyroid, gut, adrenals) — two lenses to triangulate.

By the end, you know what we think is going on, what testing would confirm it, and what a realistic care arc looks like.

Why standard labs miss it

“Why are my blood tests normal but I don’t feelnormal?”

Standard labs flag disease. Advanced testing reads the biochemistry behind your symptoms, so we can correct the imbalance — not just name it.

We also work in functional ranges — the narrower window where a marker is optimal. Normal-but-low or normal-but-high is the gray area: not diagnosable yet, but already symptomatic, and where we start.

When bloodwork isn’t enough, we order from seven categories of advanced testing — gut, organic acids, nutrients, heavy metals, adrenals, mold, and food sensitivities. See the testing panels.

The care plan

Chosen for what your body needs — not the loudest trend.

With the full picture, we design your plan. It may combine:

  • Nutraceuticals and targeted supplementation based on test-verified needs.
  • Herbal medicine — Chinese formulas, single herbs, and botanicals.
  • Acupuncture and, where indicated, biopuncture (homeopathic injections at acupuncture points).
  • Dietary guidance tied to your sensitivities and deficiencies.
  • Stress management, sleep restoration, and movement prescriptions.
  • Detoxification protocols matched to identified toxic burden.

Care is paced and explained — why each piece is there, and when to expect change. If it’s not working, we adjust.

FAQ
Is this a replacement for my primary care doctor?+

No. Functional and Chinese medicine work alongside conventional care. We do not prescribe medications or stop any prescribed by your other providers without coordination.

How long is the first visit?+

Up to 60 minutes — in-office or telehealth. Plan on a thorough conversation; it is the single most important diagnostic we have.

Do you take insurance?+

We are an out-of-network practice. We provide a detailed superbill you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for eligible services.

How long before I feel different?+

It depends on the case — some notice change quickly, complex conditions take longer. We set checkpoints up front so progress is measurable.

Is acupuncture painful?+

The needles are hair-thin and most patients feel little more than a gentle pressure. Many find the sessions deeply relaxing.

Do you work with children?+

Yes, we see pediatric and adolescent patients — including developmental, digestive, and neurological presentations. Pediatric care is gentle and parent-involved.
